#1 Make sure you have time to enjoy your candle the first time you light it. Allow at least 3 hours for your candle to burn the first time or at least until a full melt pool has been reached. This melt pool will create a wax memory for your vessel. This means your candle will most likely burn in the same pattern as the very first light. Avoiding this very important step will create tunneling and leave wax residue on the sides of your vessel.
#2 Remember to trim your wick to ¼” before every lighting. A wick that is too short may not stay lit and continue to go out. A wick that is too long will have a large flame, burn too hot, produce smoke & will not last as long.
#3 Be safe and be smart with your candle. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Never leave candles unattended. Keep wax clear of any debris and away from flammable products. Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time. Burn candles on a heat resistant surface.
